New and Exciting Changes at QFP - Letter from Dr Wiley

It has been several years since I have been able to announce new and exciting changes at QFP. I would like to thank every patient and family who has given us such support as we have transitioned through the recent challenges. Your words, messages and overall positive support gave us the strength to make it through physicians and physician assistants leaving, an EMR upgrade and of course- Covid 19. I thank you from the bottom of my heart.

The goal of these changes is to continue to give a patient centered team approach while increasing access to a broader care team. This means you will be able to interact with this broader care team, which will include greater access to physicians and as well as the excellent resources and services from our local hospital system, Christiana Care. To achieve this, we want to announce the following.

On September 6, 2022, QFP will be joining the Christiana Care family. We are excited to expand our healthcare services while still giving you the personal touch. This means the well-known faces you have come to trust and speak with will still be here. Our care coordination, chronic care management, prior authorization, and test result review will not change. Most importantly, this will allow me to return to spending more time in the exam room. These last few years have been extremely difficult as a physician and private practitioner. This will allow me to do what I love the most – see and directly care for patients.

In addition, it is with great pleasure to announce to you Dr. Geneviev Minick will be joining us in October. Her approach to patient care, priorities as a practitioner, and goals of a team based approach complement our existing patient service. Dr. Minick comes with 20 years of clinical experience. Please see a message from Dr. Minick on our portal in a a couple of weeks.

I realize there are still questions to be answered. QFP, along with Christiana Care, will continue to update you on our progress with this integration. Thank you again for all of your support.

Sincerely,
Kathleen Willey, MD
